Transportation, Climate Change, and Health Resources
The Pala Band of Mission Indians and the Jamul Indian Village of California (JIVoC) were funded by Caltrans’s 2019 Adaption Planning Grant (per Senate Bill 1) to complete the Tribal Transportation Climate Adaptation Project. A key goal of that project was to share learnings and resources for the benefit of other Tribes throughout the U.S.
Intertribal Resource Sharing
The Tribal Climate Health Project encourages U.S. Tribes to use any of the following resources to support their transportation climate adaptation efforts.
Project Sample Materials, Tools, and Templates
- Pala’s Transportation Climate Adaptation Survey (for community input)
- Pala’s Community Workshop Form (with custom evaluation criteria)
- Pala’s Reports
- Transportation-Exposures, Impacts, and Strategies Inventory (T-EISI) tool – an Excel-based tool designed to make it easier for your community to identify, evaluate, and plan a broad range of strategies to address transportation-related climate change vulnerabilities
